Panchakarma

Veda Vibe Ayurvedic Panchakarma Centre – Centre of Holistic Healing

At Veda Vibe, we combine the wisdom of ancient Ayurveda with modern care to offer authentic Panchakarma therapies and holistic healing treatments that restore the balance of body, mind and soul.

Panchakarma is a comprehensive detoxification and rejuvenation therapy in Ayurveda, designed to cleanse the body of accumulated toxins (Ama) and restore doshic balance (Vata, Pitta, Kapha). The term “Panchakarma” means “five actions”, referring to five therapeutic procedures:

  • Vamana (therapeutic emesis)

  • Virechana (purgation)

  • Basti (medicated enema)

  • Nasya (nasal administration of medicine)

  • Raktamokshana (bloodletting)

These procedures are preceded by Purva Karma (preparatory methods like Snehana and Swedana) and followed by Paschat Karma (post-care including diet and lifestyle management). Panchakarma aims to eliminate deep-rooted toxins, improve immunity, and rejuvenate the body and mind.

Deepana-Panchana

Deepan-Pachan Chikitsa is an Ayurvedic therapeutic approach focused on enhancing Agni (digestive fire) and eliminating Ama (toxins or undigested food). This therapy is essential before most Ayurvedic treatments to ensure proper digestion and assimilation of medicines. It uses specific herbs and formulations like Trikatu, Chitrak, and Hingwashtak churna. By restoring digestive balance, it lays the foundation for overall health and effective disease management.

Snehana

Snehana Chikitsa is a therapeutic procedure in Ayurveda that involves oleation or the application of unctuous substances, such as medicated oils or ghee, internally (oral intake) or externally (massage). It is one of the preparatory procedures (Purvakarma) done before Panchakarma to loosen toxins (Ama) from the tissues and facilitate their elimination. Snehana helps in nourishing the body, softening tissues, lubricating joints, and calming Vata dosha. It promotes flexibility, improves skin health, and supports overall rejuvenation.

Swedana

Swedana Chikitsa (sweating therapy) is a key Ayurvedic treatment used to induce perspiration and eliminate toxins from the body. It is typically done after Snehana (oleation) and helps to loosen Ama (toxins) and open the srotas (channels). Swedana alleviates Vata and Kapha doshas, reduces stiffness and heaviness, and improves circulation. It is commonly used before Panchakarma procedures to prepare the body for detoxification. Various forms include steam baths, bolus fomentation, and warm herbal compresses.
